Silliness Prevails
Yeah, daddy's home! Time for snuggles and laughs. Daddy was very tired & preferred snuggling, but Avery was too excited & wanted all the silliness she could get. Jordan, however, was a little more accommodating in the snuggle department. Avery scored a trip to Kids Club to play on the play jungle -- without mommy! Hmmmmmmmm. She was in a much much much better mood today. I wonder how she will do when I'm gone for 5 days in October.
You can suck on my finger, Jordan, just don't bite! Okay, enough, you're seriously squishing me.
No kidding, Avery picked out this "happy do" to wear the other day. She doesn't even like happy dos, but when the sun dress went on, she thought she should get a sunhat & shades to go with it (yes, there were 10 sunhats in the same box as the tuque, but this is what she picked). It didn't last long.
And in other silliness: Rain in the valley means snow in the mountains. Timberline is opening lifts on SATURDAY. I guess summer really is gone . . . except that wildfires are RAGING through the west still. [Only the Derby fire in Montana is bigger than the Tripod Complex (174,000 acres) in Winthrop, Washington, my home town. It's a big fire year for all my forest service & private contractor friends.] Does this seem a little incongruous to anyone else?
More silliness: Ross' Blog
Not silly (or even funny) at all: Howie Mandel. Mute.
Avery, Mommy, & Jordan, YOU DID NOT SHAVE!!! Usually it's Avery complaining as daddy tries to hug her good night. So us Rowe girls decided to turn the tables on him tonight.
Updated pics from breakfast for dinner (thanks Melanie). A few mellow moments of "Froggy Movie" ("Leap Frog Letter Factory").
