Julie & Jack, left this morning, followed shortly after by Astrid & Matt. We hope they had better travels getting home than they had getting here! We were sad to see them go, and are already talking of another get together, perhaps over the summer (I vote for Fairbanks, but I'm willing to go anywhere). Soon Kim will be on the west coast as well, and perhaps a few others from Calgary would like to join us.
We miss them already! Avery talked about Jack & Matt all day. We looked through the photos to see all the things we did, and she was sad they were gone. We all are. What gorgeous and well behaved children Astrid & Julie have. Matt is about the happiest & most contented baby ever, and Jack is quite the charming and well behaved toddler. Both are future heart-breakers!
Devon & I really appreciated the helping hands. It was a bit hectic at times, but there were always extra hands to help feed Jordan, keep Avery occupied, and to make us gourmet dinners as well. What a treat! Meals always taste extra yummy when made by someone else (and many nights its dinner that gets glossed over by the end of a long day).
It's so wonderful to catch up with friends in person & meet their growing families. I think most of us can agree that we just don't do this as much as we would like to. Visitors welcome any time!
