The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The Good: Jordan's lumbar puncture results were all negative and her EEG showed moderate improvement, without having to live through some devastating side effects. She's back to her old self, cooing, and moving around, and when in the right position, is able to suck her own thumb (or arm). I guess that's a good one for me. And, on Monday we have an appointment with a new ped neuro, we're ditching the old one that we don't like and don't trust.

The Bad: There's still one more test to run with the spinal fluid, and now that Jordan's off the ACTH, her seizures are inceasing.

The Ugly: We will have to decide soon what to do about medications, and all the information available is conflicting. This is because each kiddo responds differently to each different med, so there's a bit of trial and error. So, we'll read up what we can over the weekend and prepare for our Monday visit with the new neuro. Having him on the team is going to be a great relief to us.

And so it goes. . . .
