Our neighbors Tina & Brian (and parents Mike & Sandy) had a "surprise" visitor tonight to their house, and had all the neighborhood children over to enjoy it. Santa showed up with Mrs. Claus, and Pogo the elf (he jumps around alot). They also seemed to have alot of pizza, cookies, and other snacks, too (yum!).
About 20 kids (and parents) were treated to gifts from Santa & the gang, as well as a chance to sit on Santa's lap for a picture (from a real photographer). Avery's finally getting all the Santa stuff that's going on -- sort of, but this was the first time she has seen Santa in the flesh. She was a little shy in the beginning, but she really warmed up to it all towards the end. I was a little worried she wouldn't sit on Santa's lap, but she did, and as soon as we got her talking to Santa she didn't want to stop! It was nice that she was able to see many of her neighborhood friends all sit on his lap first, so she knew how it would go.
There was a professional photographer there, and his set-up was so bright my pictures are a little washed out (thanks to Melanie for taking some of them while I got Avery settled in on Santa's lap). So, these are the ones from our camera.
