Over The Edge

Oops, I mean Over The Hedge -- that was the theme of Avery's birthday party.

Chocolate cake & strawberry cupcakes. Yummy.

Hey, Avery, get out from under the table, it's time to blow out the candles so we can eat these yummies.

Jordan was just hangin' out, taking it all in, and getting geared up for her big 1st birthday party on her 1st birthday (the 30th).

A classic: Pin the tail on the donkey. Katie was the life of the party. We'll be busy on the 30th celebrating her 2nd birthday that day, too. (Isn't it a little strange for 2 former roommates to have daughters with the same birthday?)

And even the non-party toys can be a hit. The kids spent a lot of time making "food" for everyone.

Time to open presents -- yippee.

Climbin' cousins. For some reason we were all okay with them sitting on the table for a picture, then a few minutes later that was not allowed. Poor Heidi & Avery -- who keeps changing the rules?

Katie scopes the new playroom out. Hmmmmm. I think I'll play with THAT!

Thanks for coming, Heather, Katie, & Sam.

Thanks for coming all the way from Seattle, Jarrod, Heidi, & Crystal.

Time to get playing with the toys (this one was from Kelly, Ed, & Kate -- it looks noisy, but its not! Yeah!) But it is fun for all of us.

A new highchair for Hope & Zachary (Avery's dolls). She thinks they're going to get bigger than her now since they eat so much. Thanks Katie, Heather, & Sam.

An alltime favorite Play Dough. And LOTS of it. Thanks Sarah & Sean. I remember, I remember. A Memory game from Heidi, Jarrod, & Crystal, yippee. (Do I have to keep turning them over?)

Thanks also to Noah & Reyna for the bath mud & paint, and Tina & Brian for the super Mr. Potato Head! I LOVE them, but mommy & daddy haven't caught me playing with them while they had the camera with them.

Daddy working hard on the cake on Friday night. He free-handed the whole thing (oreo crumbs for the road, died coconut for the grass, etc.). GREAT JOB!
All, what a glorious day, but I could use a rest.
