A Trip To The Farm

My dad is doing well, despite being almost done with his first treatment of Vidaza for his MDS. We're all glad that he didn't just survive the chemo, but is seemingly getting a little bit better to go with it. He is still exhausted, and still suffers from the most from the effects of the strokes he had in September. He is very frustrated & self-conscious about his speech in particular, and it breaks my heart to know it bothers him so much.

I sneaked away for a few days this weekend to visit and to lend a hand around the farm. We were all busy, running errands, going to the pharmacy, spending the days at the doctor's office & at the hospital (getting a plasma transfusion), and generally keeping the place going. But we did get to enjoy each others company for a few days, and I did get to shoot a couple of pictures before the rains set in.
