UPDATE: NEW RECORD TEMPS for the date in Portland & Vancouver!!

It's 101'F outside (39'C) and glorious. The air conditioner is on, and it's not too bad upstairs, hanging around in the low 70s. But enter the downstairs of our house and you'll feel your breath start to freeze as you descend. It's truly amazing how you can FEEL the difference with every step. I've been down here all afternoon, and am bundled up in sweats, a sweatshirt, and fuzzy socks, and still have goosebumps.

So, if you're looking for a cool place to hang out, bring your winter parka and head over!
