Knik Glacier
One afternoon us moms (Kim, Julie, & I) abandoned the kiddos with the dads and aunt Jill, and took an airboat up to the Knik Glacier. It took about 30 minutes to get there, and we had to wear both inner & outer ear protection -- the "fan" is noisy. But, the boat can go on as little as 2 inches of water, so that's what you need for a shallow river. We spent a couple of hours milling around on the terminal moraine, taking in the scenery, and chit-chatting, of course. Here are some of my favorite pictures, in no particular order.
