Hangin' Around Palmer

The first couple days of the trip were incredible -- hot weather & sunshine day and night. Just perfect for lounging around Jill & Matt's house, getting back to a "normal" sleep schedule after the red-eye flight, and generally relaxing. Oh yeah, and jumping on the trampoline for 16 hours a day! Jill & Matt said they got it for the kids, but I know they meant the kid inside of each of them.

Sometimes Avery would let an adult up on the trampoline, and sometimes I wouldn't get scolded by Devon for playing too rough.
Even Jordan got to do some bouncing, which she seemed to enjoy. Devon was definitely not too rough with her!
Rarely does Jill put this umbrella to use for sun, but Jordan needed it on the first day -- it was in the 80s!
I really don't know how Jordan ended up with the wig, but it was so funny, I mean cute, we just left it there all evening. She didn't seem to mind.
Lots of snuggles for Jordan -- hey, she's on vacation, too, ya know
Even Katten thought Jordan was a good snugglerSleeping beautyKatten planning his next strategy out in the wilds of the back yard
Did you know it's easier to catch rocks in a bug collecting box than actual bugs?
Avery's really getting to like dogs, and Jasper is such a wonderful dog it didn't take long for them to be fast friendsWe spent most evenings around the fire pit -- yes, it was around 10:00pm at this point.
Sadly it was time to leave. The girls were great on the plane, and we were able to get 2 rows of 3 seats for us. Devon & Avery had the front row, Jordan & I were right behind them, and I think we all slept for almost the whole trip home (3.5 hours). Avery even shared her blue blankie with Jordan to make sure she was comfortable. Avery started off watching a movie, but that didn't last long
And then we were home
