Next Stop: Newport

Rhode Island, that is (not the Pacific Northwest Newports: Newport, Washington or Newport, Oregon).

We had a "surprise" visit yesterday from Kim, Vivian, and Truman. They are on their way east, moving from a military base in Seoul, South Korea to Newport, Rhode Island, and were in town visiting family. Kim, her husband Chris (who was out golfing), and I all went to WSU together, and all graduated with geology degrees. Chris is now well entrenched in the navy, and spends most of his time as a meteorologist, as I understand it. Since getting his masters in meteorology in Monterey, California, they have been stationed in Spain, Marysville, Washington, and Seoul -- all places they've loved living.
The weather was plenty warm yesterday, so the kids spent most of the time in the splash pool. When that finally got old they decided to play dress-up for a bit.

Fireman Trumanprincess VivianVivian decided that if witch Avery needed a broom, she did too -- so she decided to be Cinderella, and gave the stones a good sweeping while Avery flew all around.
What a cutie!
Dress up, round two: Vivian the spider, and Avery the half-Elmo, half-hipster?!
