Christmastiling, Uh, I Mean Christmastime, & Everything Else That Week

[from 21-28 December 2007] When Avery & I got back from the farm just before Christmas there was a surprise waiting for both of us -- her bunk beds! The top bunk had been stashed away in the duck barn for 2 years, but Devon decided to put it up finally. I'm not sure we're ready to move Jordan into that room, yet, nor is Avery ready to sleep on the top bunk yet, but she sure has fun playing on the to bunk. However, she's convinced BFF Kate is ready for a sleep over up there.
Grandpa Earl & grandma Linda were also waiting for us when we got back from the farm"Make your own pizza" Christmas eve
Avery & Kate got to open a few presents on Christmas eve
The ducky backpacks for "school" were a hit, thanks nana Noma!
Hiding in the recycling bags
Nana Noma was busy all evening putting the finishing touches on Jordan's new Christmas quilt
Avery & grandma Linda made cookies for Santa, and she insisted on "scary" ones (yikes, left over dough from Halloween, those are ghosts). Then, following a theme, she wore her Halloween jammies to bed on Christmas eve. Note: she likes Halloween, too.
Opening presents on Christmas morningAfter the gifts were opened, the tree was out! We got it on 1 December, but by the 25th it was bare. . .
We even had a little Christmas day snow, too bad it didn't stick
Then we had some family photosIn case you need to know this for the future, you can get a great deal on renting home improvement equipment over holidays. This Christmas Devon & Earl spent alot of the week & Christmas day tiling the downstairs hallway & my new "office" area.

Playing with gifts after Christmas -- here's Avery & her first head lamp (thanks Kelly, Ed, & Kate)
Accordian to Avery (thanks to the Woods again)
Making buttons with the button maker
Playin' cars with daddy, a new favorite (thanks nana Noma)
Jordan likes to pass the time these days practicing with her binkySnuggling sisters after a long Christmas week
