We returned home tonight from a weekend in Usk, Washington. On Friday my dad celebrated his 60th birthday, and on Saturday over 150 of our closest family & friends joined us to help him celebrate as well. It was truly overwhelming. He really over did it by staying for so long, insisting on talking to and thanking everyone there. We tried to drag him away earlier to save his energy, but he refused. By the time we got home last night he was absolutely speechless, which was good, because he really needed to rest.
We were also able to raise over $5000 to help offset his mounting medical bills. Believe me, as a family we were completely blown away by this outpouring of generosity from businesses and individuals, both near and far.
We'll never be able to thank you all enough for your love, friendship, and support during this battle. But we'll try: Thank You!
