Jordan had to have a blood draw after speech therapy & occupational therapy on Wednesday. It only took 2 pokes, but Avery felt bad for her and insisted that the phlebotomists give her a tattoo instead of just a sticker. We put Dori on her right arm, near the site of the pokes. Because of all the seizure medicines, especially Depakene, we have to watch her blood counts and particularly her liver function very closely. So, she gets lab draws once a month, and every other month we have to do it before 8:00am to get a "Depakene trough." Bleck. Luckily we got the early one done last month while inpatient at Shriners, because getting going that early in the morning just can't happen more than 6 times per year. Now we're down to 5 for 2008!
Sarah & Avery got to play together this afternoon. I found the "leashes" in the back of the van when I was cleaning it out yesterday, and both girls had fun wearing them while playing this afternoon. When we asked their names, Avery said her monkey was named Coco. Sarah didn't know what to answer, so Devon suggested Chanel -- and we called the Coco & Chanel for the rest of the play date! Too funny. Sarah & Chanel
Ahhhhh, snuggles after a nice, long, busy weekend. It can't get better than this. Sleeping like babies, all snuggled up with a spica cast. . . .
