After gymnastics on Friday we had a quick ice cream social at Dairy Queen, then settled in for a hilarious evening at Once Upon A Palace Purple, presented by Magenta Theatre, written & directed by our own friend & neighbor Jaynie. Avery loved it, especially the songs & the fairy godmother, but nothing was as exciting as seeing her friend Emma (Jaynie's daughter) on stage as Princess Burgundy. It was great!
On Saturday we went to Heather & Eric's housewarming party in Brightwood. We had a great evening hanging out on the deck & Avery made a few new friends and found an all new audience for her antics. The woods were a hit, with great adventures for Avery, Teigan, & Aidan, and whoever they could convince to go with them to slay monsters or fight giant orange furry spiders.

On Sunday our old friend Mark ("Skids") showed up for a visit, after giving a talk at Western Oregon University on Friday. The weather held its own so we spent a few hours out on the deck at a local restaurant right along the Columbia river. When we got home we ran into all the neighbors while lounging around on our front deck, and stayed up late reminiscing and catching up.Marjory & DD came for a visit. Even Jordan partook in the chocolate/fruit fondue, until she was too tired to go on. 
We didn't get much done on the remodeling downstairs, but we did get the sink & toilet set up in the right spot in the bathroom. Just waiting for the plumber now.
