Sister squishers. The girls were great on the plane, but a bit bored waiting to be the last off (note: Jordan's tutu pants are/were a hit with everyone!)
Avery LOVED the palm trees, she was even willing to pose for a picture with them when we got to Costa Mesa (just before a nice long lunch at the Yardhouse with friends Daney, Katherine, & Shiow-Whei)
After lunch we saw a park to get out an play in. The sunshine was glorious, and Avery had her shoes off & toes in the sand & grass within a few seconds
The plane is a hit with all the kids!
Later we met up with Jamie & Kim for a ride on the carousel & dinner at Red Robbin at the Irvine Spectrum 
At Red Robin Avery had to have her picture with "the Black Stylin' "
Jamie came back to the hotel with the girls & I while Kim went to a meeting in Costa Mesa. Avery was tired, but not so tired that she couldn't wrestle with Jamie for the whole 2 hours. Yikes, pre-schoolers have a lot of energy! 
Finally they couldn't hold their eyes open any longer
And boy, did we sleep. Devon got up early and went into the office, but Avery, Jordan, & I were on vacation, so we rested. Our big plans for the second day were to meet Kim & Jamie at the same Lions Park in Costa Mesa we visited the day before. Jamie liked the plane, but when he looked at the pictures on the internet the night before, it was yellow! He was a bit disappointed, until Avery & Kim convinced him it was the same one, it had just been painted blue.
Jamie & Avery made a new friend at the park, and ran around hand in hand in hand with her until she had to leave
There's that pre-schooler energy again. It makes me tired just watching them! 
Avery found this "acorn" at the park & loved it so much she brought it home as a souvenir for best friend Kate!
