(more from our recent vacation to southern California)
On Sunday I got a true day off! Devon got up fairly early and took the girls out to Riverside, California where he met up with his mom & dad (they drove in from Indio, California, where they stay during the winter months) for a tour of the botanical gardens & a long lunch. Meanwhile, I hung back with Kim, Wil, & Jamie where we lounged around the house, took naps, and enjoyed the quiet for a few hours. Soon Devon, Avery, & Jordan were back, and the sword fighting was back into full swing. We did escape to the lake (across the street from Kim & Wil's house) for some pictures in the setting sun, before heading to Buca Di Beppo's for a yummy, but tooooooo sloowwwwww dinner (don't they know you can't keep hungry kids waiting that long!). Once again everyone slept well that night.
Enough of the calm -- it's time to sword fight again (and yell fight, too).
I don't know what it is about birds. Except for ducks, I don't particularly like or dislike them, but they are irresistible when you have a camera in your hand. Everyone loves to take pictures of birds. Some people admit it.
Hurry up and bring the food before the color crayons run out!
