[from 18-20 December 2008] Avery & I had a pre-Christmas excursion to the Driver farm in Usk, Washington. Aunt Jill was there from Alaska, and brought the weather with her. When we arrived in the afternoon the power was already out, and stayed that way for ~5 hours, until a few minutes after uncle Jon Paul finally got the generator started up. Typical. Avery was in heaven with all the snow, and was able to convince both aunt Jill & aunt Jessie to help her make a snowman. Aunt Jill & Avery started at night, but it needed repair by the morning, so aunt Jessie took over. They called it "Frosty Crusty" - a compromise, as Avery wanted "Frosty" and Jill wanted "Crusty." All the while, uncle Jon Paul was busy plowing, and plowing, and plowing the snow.
